Customer service resume example
This is the document our Call Center · Headset template produces, filled with a real eight-year support career rather than placeholder text. The layout keeps quality, resolution, and volume numbers on one scannable page and scores 98/100 against our 30 published ATS rules — the highest band we certify. Here is what makes these bullets work on a support supervisor reading two hundred applications a week.
Measured by exporting this exact resume and running it through the 30 rules we publish. Certified: we only badge templates at 90 or above, a stricter bar than the 85 our checker calls interview-ready, so the design leaves headroom for your own content.

Why these bullets work
Every line below is taken verbatim from the resume above.
“Handle 70+ member calls a day covering benefits, claims, and billing at a 94% average quality score”
Volume and quality in the same line — the pairing supervisors rarely get. Anyone can take 70 calls badly or 20 calls well; holding 94% QA at that pace is the whole job proven in one sentence.
“Resolve 82% of calls without a transfer or callback, ranking in the top 10% of a 60-agent floor”
First-call resolution is the metric call centers are managed on, and the ranking gives the bare percentage its context. Top 10% of 60 agents is checkable in any team lead's dashboard — which is exactly what makes it believable.
“Onboarded and mentored nine new hires; all nine passed their 90-day quality gate on the first attempt”
Nine for nine turns 'mentored new hires' from a duty into a result. It also quietly answers the next interview question — could we make you a senior or a trainer — before anyone asks it.
“Cut repeat calls on card disputes 18% by writing a plain-language status script adopted floor-wide”
Initiative with a paper trail: a script the whole floor adopted is something a reference call confirms in ten seconds, and repeat calls down 18% is money to whoever owns the queue.
Making it yours
- Swap in your own four metrics — calls or tickets per day, CSAT or QA score, first-call resolution, average handle time. Even two of the four beats a paragraph of adjectives.
- Name your platforms exactly (Five9, Zendesk, Salesforce Service Cloud, NICE inContact) — support managers filter for the systems their floor already runs.
- If you train or mentor, count it the way this example does: how many new hires, and what happened to them at their quality gate.
- Keep your industry visible — healthcare, banking, telecom — because regulated support lines prefer people who already know HIPAA or dispute-handling rules.
Common questions
What numbers matter most on a customer service resume?
Four cover nearly every screen: contacts per day, quality or CSAT score, first-call resolution, and average handle time. This example carries all four, which is why it reads senior without a single adjective.
Should a customer service resume be one page?
Almost always. Eight years fits on one page here because every bullet is a metric rather than a duty — cut the 'responsible for' lines before you cut jobs.
