The sixty-second test
Any builder can say “free”. This is the test that separates the claim from the product, and you can run it here right now:

Common questions
Is CVLoom really 100% free?
Yes — building, editing, every template, the ATS checker, and the PDF download are free with no account and no watermark. The one capped thing is AI (import, deep feedback, bullet drafting): five free runs a day. Everything else stays unlimited.
Do I need to sign up?
No. The editor opens and the PDF downloads without an account. Signing in with Google exists only as an option to keep your resumes across devices — it is never required.
Is there a watermark or a trial?
Neither. The PDF has selectable text, embedded fonts, and clickable links, with nothing printed on it that you did not write. There is no trial because there is no paid tier for a trial to convert into.
What's the catch?

Which resume builders are actually free?
As of this writing: CVLoom is free end-to-end including the formatted PDF. Canva is genuinely free for many of its design templates, though it offers no resume-specific guidance. Most big-name builders — Zety, Resume.io, Kickresume, Enhancv — let you build free and charge at the download, through a subscription, trial, or watermark.
