Marketing manager resume example
This is what our Senior Marketing Manager · Europe template produces: twelve years of B2B marketing compressed into budget, pipeline, and team numbers. It scores 95/100 against our 30 published ATS rules, so it passes the same screening software your applications go through. Here is why these bullets read like a P&L instead of a brochure.
Measured by exporting this exact resume and running it through the 30 rules we publish. Certified: we only badge templates at 90 or above, a stricter bar than the 85 our checker calls interview-ready, so the design leaves headroom for your own content.

Why these bullets work
Every line below is taken verbatim from the resume above.
“Lead a team of 6 across demand generation, content, and events on a $2.8M annual budget spanning four product lines”
Budget, headcount, and remit are the three scope filters on manager-level screens. Stating them in one line lets a recruiter level the role correctly instead of guessing junior.
“Delivered 38% of qualified pipeline in FY25 while cutting cost per SQL 22% through channel mix rebalancing”
Pipeline share is the number CMOs defend to the board, and pairing it with falling cost per SQL blocks the obvious rebuttal — that the pipeline was simply bought.
“Built the demand-generation function from scratch; marketing-sourced revenue grew from 12% to 31% of total bookings in four years”
A from-scratch build with a before-and-after revenue share is the strongest claim in B2B marketing. It reads as ownership of an outcome over years, not attendance at a program that already worked.
“Launched an ABM program targeting 150 named accounts that opened 44 qualified opportunities in its first year”
Named-account counts and sourced opportunities are auditable in any CRM. The specificity — 150 accounts, 44 opportunities — signals someone who reports numbers, not narratives.
Making it yours
- Anchor every claim to pipeline or revenue — share of qualified pipeline sourced, CAC or cost per SQL moved, campaign lift in dollars. Impressions are activity, not outcomes.
- State your budget and team size plainly ('$2.8M budget, team of 6'); scope is the first filter on every manager-level screen.
- Swap in your channels and stack — HubSpot or Marketo, Google Ads, ABM tooling — because demand-gen hiring is stack-literate and searches for the names.
- If you developed people, say what happened to them; two direct reports promoted lands harder than any line about 'mentoring junior staff.'
Common questions
What makes a marketing manager resume read senior?
Owned budget, team size, and a pipeline or revenue share — the three scope signals recruiters scan for first. Channels and tactics belong underneath as evidence, never as the headline.
How do I show marketing results without exposing confidential numbers?
Use percentages and multiples the way this example does — pipeline share, CAC held flat, lead volume doubled. Ratios prove impact without disclosing the raw figures your employer considers private.
