Teacher resume example
This is a complete class-teacher resume, not a screenshot of one. It is the document our Teacher · Chalkline template produces — the chalk-tray band is drawn in CSS, so the page parses like plain text and scores 94/100 against our own 30 published ATS rules, interview-ready band. Below, the bullets that carry it, and why each one works on a principal reading for under a minute.
Measured by exporting this exact resume and running it through the 30 rules we publish. Certified: we only badge templates at 90 or above, a stricter bar than the 85 our checker calls interview-ready, so the design leaves headroom for your own content.

The live document, not a screenshot. Names and employers are fictional.
Why these bullets work
Every line below is taken verbatim from the resume above.
“Raised AzM2 mathematics proficiency in my sections from 38% to 61% over five years, 16 points above the district average”
A state test, a starting point and an ending point. A principal can check every word of it against the school's own report.
“Built the science fair program: 120 projects a year, state finalists every year since 2021”
Not 'organised the science fair' but a program with a size and a track record. Finalists every year is the sentence that survives a skim.
“Lead the grade 7 team of five teachers; run the weekly data meeting and the common assessment calendar”
Leadership stated as a routine, the weekly data meeting, rather than a claim. It tells the reader what Monday looks like.
“Moved 78% of students to grade level or above on the mid-year benchmark, from 55% at entry”
Two percentages and a time frame. The gap between 55 and 78 is the story; the bullet does not need adjectives.
Making it yours
- Put your certification in the title line — state license, Praxis, subject endorsements — because schools filter on that before anything else.
- Name Praxis II or your state Praxis in its own Eligibility line the way this example does — screening looks for the acronym, not a sentence.
- If you have no score data, count what you do own: students taught, sections handled, reading levels moved, parents at your last showcase.
- Keep grades and subjects in each role title, not buried in the bullets — it is the first thing scanned.
